Dr. David Stevens is a well rounded professional with a 45-year proven track record as a US Air Force officer, a professor, an engineer and an executive with a large MNC in the US. During this successful career with the USAF, he managed complex communications systems and conducted research involving advanced Inertial Guidance systems. He moved on to become the Director of Plans and Programs, Frank J. Seiler Research Laboratory, where he successfully managed multiple resources including people and financial activities.
After his career with the USAF, he joined Texas Instruments where he managed areas of New Product Development and Marketing in the US as New Business Development Manager. He then managed a multi-nation Emitter Location System project – covering a budget of $450 mil. After joining Loral Corporation as Specialty Engineering Manager, he progressed to the Director of Engineering position prior to the merger of Loral Corporation and Lockheed-Martin. He held that position with Lockheed-Martin until his retirement. He left Lockheed-Martin but continued as a consultant to various US Federal Agencies providing advanced seminars in the field of Management. He has been consulting with DRS Health on business development and strategic matters.
He has edited and co-authored a book – Project Laboratory Guide, USAFA, Dept. of Electrical Engineering. He has also written many articles on complex engineering topics. He has various advanced engineering degrees (BSEE, MSEE and Ph. D.; Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu; Pi Mu Epsilon; IEEE and AIAA) from University of Missouri.
He is married, has two children and 6 grand children and lives with his wife Betty in North Carolina. |
